Every year, I hear many comments that are interesting.  Some are great stories about Mike, events that have occurred during the weekend or thoughts of the past.  Here are a few notable quotes.  I will add to them every year.  Each quote has its own charm and significance.  Over the years, I hope that this will serve as a great example of the significance of Mike's continuing influence and legacy. 

2011 

The scholarship came at a time when it was very helpful, but it is even more gratifying to know that everything I have worked hard for over the years was rewarded by such a unique and special honor.  Matt Doherty - Scholarship Recipient

Thank you for sending me the link to the website. The trophy is beautiful. I especially like the tradition of throwing the golf club into the water (best place for it in my opinion - I am an avid sports fan but despite having been brought up in Troon which regularly hosts the Open Championship, I never quite saw the attraction of golf...!) Just a quick note to thank you (and your families and friends) for all the great work that you do in organizing the golf tournament and dinner every year.  I know it's a labor of love, but it means so much to all of us who just kind of "show up" to play some golf and remember Mike.  For me personally, I think about Mike a lot.  So it's a special time to reconnect with people who knew him and loved him.
